it's not because i'm stupid.
it is *partially* because i'm lazy.
it's mostly because i'm a git and i think standard capitalization imbalances the visual of the sentence itself. look:
"There I was in Canada with nothing but my boots." --> see? if this were on a pivot, it would totally tip over to the left.
don't *even* ask how i feel about punctuation.
